Dedicated to the tradition of natya shastra, the National School of Drama (NSD) is setup a Repertory Varanasi centre. A one-of-its-kind, the centre conducting a one-year course in Indian Classical Theatre, from August 2018.

National School of Drama has established a new extension centre in Varanasi to provide one year training on Indian Classical Theatre and Natyashashtra. The centre is known as National School of Drama, Varanasi Centre.
